The upcoming Nationwide Jewellers annual conference is officially booked out, with the theme of this year’s event ‘Time Out – Time to Shine’.
The conference is running across three days in Brisbane, beginning on 13 May and concluding 15 May.
Nationwide Jewellers membership manager Erin Keller said the industry feedback in the lead-up to the event has been positive.
“We are extremely pleased with the response, with 150 members representing 82 stores registered,” she said.
“All of our 310 room nights at the five-star W hotel in Brisbane have been booked by members and suppliers.”
The conference will feature seminars, workshops and a buying day. This year’s keynote speaker will be best-selling author Andrew Griffiths.
Griffiths, a native of Tasmania, overcame a difficult childhood to become a successful author, publishing his first book in 2000 and going on to pen a further 13 books on small business strategy. Griffiths will speak to attendees on what he believes are the most important trends impacting small businesses and retailers in 2022.
Nationwide general manager Glen Pocklington said the event was about giving retailers the best chance to succeed.
“The 2022 conference theme is Time to Shine,” he said.
“The focus is on the key strategies for the year ahead. Our business sessions will provide members with the tools to increase market share and profits.”
Attendance at the event is valued at $1,800, however members of the organisation take part free of charge.
Nationwide will be encouraging members to attend the buying day and make the most of the Conference Cash program, where $60,000 in interest-free (six months) finance will be available to spend with suppliers.
